Carbs are essential for the human body.
We use those amazing Carbs to produce energy. The carbs we intake are converted into energy for our body.

On a Low Carb Diet people:
– lose appetite
– Get sick
– Lose energy

These diets are dangerous‼️

2 things to know:

#1 Eating carbs at night will make you gain weight
(Not true) ❌❌❌🙅🏾‍♂️🙅🏾‍♂️
– it’s the quality of the foods you eat
– for example, sweets or baked goods

#2 Carbs help reduce stress

Adults should consume 45-65% of total calories from carbs

Inactive individuals only need 3 grams per kilogram per day

Those exercising more than 1 hour need 4-5 grams per kilogram Bodyweight per day

Athletes training intensely may need 8-12 grams per kilogram Bodyweight per day

Weight in pounds/2.2 = weight in kilograms

Daily carbs should come from complex carbs
– vegetables, grains, pasta, rice

Limit your Simple Carbs
– candy and desserts, sodas
