Fitness Blog: Unspoken Gym Rules #GymEtiquette

It’s almost New Years, which means “New Year, New Me” , which translates to everyone hitting the gym to find themselves. However, you might encounter some problems at the gym.

Is this your 1st time in the gym? Are you noticing people do common things ( like re-racking weights, or not curling is the Squat rack)

These things are the unspoken gym rules, THAT YOU MUST OBEY!
These rules have been agreed on across the boards, and failure to follow will cause PEOPLE TO STARE AT YOU!

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
LEAVE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR
NO TALKING WHILE LIFTING OR AT ALL!
HELP EACH OTHER WHEN POSSIBLE
DON’T HOG THE MACHINES/WEIGHTS
WORK HARD & HAVE FUN
HEAD HIGH & BE PROUD….. THIS STUFF IS HARD
IT’S YOUR SWEAT SO WIPE IT UP
RERACK YOUR WEIGHTS
DON’T TAKE UP ALL THE SPACE
DON’T GIVE UNREQUESTED ADVICE
UNLESS ASKED (REFER TO #10)
NO EATING IN THE GYM (THAT TORTURES PEOPLE)
BE POLITE!!! FOR SOME PEOPLE GOING TO THE GYM IS CRAZY DIFFICULT, DON’T MAKE FUN OF THEM, ENCOURAGE THEM!!!

EVERYONE IS TRYING TO IMPROVE THEMSELVES, THAT’S WHY THEY ARE AT THE GYM. REMEMBER, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. #MINDOVERMATTER
